Meet the SOPA team

I have recently set up my own trading company to deal principally in organic cereals and pulses.After 42 years with WN Lindsay Ltd, I have recently branched out independently to follow my interests and what I believe is good for the planet. I am trading in conjunction with Robin Appel Ltd, a respected independent grain merchant, based in the south of England, who trade over 25K tonnes of UK produced organic cereals and pulses.

I will continue to trade as previously, with tie ups to all major organic millers, maltsters and feed compounders and of course with my existing organic farmers and hopefully some new ones! My aim is to put growers and end-users together, with mutual benefit the desired outcome.

I am a director of SOPA, where one of my primary concerns is to fight for home-grown organic cereals markets, and reduce imported ‘organic’ cereals from dubious origins.  I am a firm believer in the quality and environmental credentials of home grown organic grain.
