Scottish Government have made a manifesto promise to support the growth of organic agriculture in Scotland, and there are funding provisions to support organic conversion and maintenance in the Agri-Environment Climate Scheme (AECS).
Application Window
Please note there is two different deadlines for the 2025 AECS round depending on the options included in the application:
• Application window for stand-alone Organic Conversion and/or Maintenance applications closes 31st July 2025.
• Application window for combined Organic Conversion and/or Maintenance applications + other agri-environment options closes 12th June 2025.

Organic Conversion Payment Rates:
The Organic Maintenance Payment Rates have not changed either and are awarded for a five-year contract:
