This applies if you commenced a new Agri-Environment Climate Scheme (AECS) funding contract on 1st January 2023 that also included capital items such as fencing and gates.
All AECS Capital Items claims for the scheme year 2023 must be submitted to your local area SGRPID office by 29th February 2024.
However, all the capital works included in your AECS contract must have been completed by 31st December 2023. The financial amounts for capital item works in your contract for 2023 cannot be transferred to another financial year. If you are eligible to make a capital items claim for works completed this year you need to complete the PF16 - AECS capital items claim form and return to SGRPID.
If you are due reimbursement for capital items works completed in the 2023 AECS contract year don’t forget to submit your completed claim form. SGRPID will not write to you to remind you in advance of the deadline.
For more details on AECS capital item claims and payments visit the ScotGov Rural Payments & Services website here.
