Importing & Exporting

Organic food imports must be certified from source and at every stage in the supply chain.

What does this mean?

The SOPA Organic Import Standards apply to organic food that is imported into any port in the UK.  Source countries such as the EU, third countries and non-third countries all require organic certification in the UK prior to receipt of the goods in a UK Port. Defra Import License may also apply.

Contact us if you're interested in importing organic foods from overseas - we categorise Importing under our SOPA Merchants certification.
