Debs farms 500 acres in partnership with her husband Jamie in Perthshire. The family farm has been organic since 1998, producing suckler beef and cereals in a mixed rotation, and more recently adding a micro laying hen enterprise selling eggs direct to local customers.
With post-graduate qualifications in Organic Farming from SAC, Debs is also a Rural Leader (2012-13) and in 2018 achieved Associate of the Royal Agricultural Societies (ARAgS).
She has been a director of SOPA since 2013. Alongside her daughter Jess, Debs founded and runs Ladies who Lamb UK, a private Facebook community network of c. 11,000 women who work with sheep throughout the UK. Outside of work, Debs breeds and trains working cocker spaniels.
