SOPA has scrutinised the harvesting and production of Bod Ayre's seaweed extracts and are happy to certify them for use in organic systems.
In particular, the Certification Board were impressed with the sustainable harvesting over rotational seabeds allowing sufficient time for regrowth and all harvesting by hand ensuring minimal mechanical disruption to the seabed, shore and adjunct coastal zones.
Processing of the product is also simple and hands-on, which means the final liquid or granules is minimal and as natural as possible.
